Wow. What a weekend.
Armageddon Expo kicked off its final expo for this year at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds. It was a weekend for everyone that came. With everything at the event for everyone such as Anime, Cosplay, Gaming and Pop Culture.

Gaming
There was also gaming stalls at Armageddon from the big names Sony & Microsoft. Displaying the latest game releases as well as consoles. Sony showing off the brand new PS4 Pro which I had to chance to see the difference between 1080p and 4K games. Sony also demoing the PSVR which attendees got to have a try as well as hosting the newest Call of Duty. Over at Microsoft there was Halo Wars 2, Recore and a demo of Final Fantasy XV. Also making appaarence Watch Dogs 2, South Park: The Fractured but Whole & Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Nintendo was also at the event with demos of their games on WiiU consoles and their 2DS & 3DS portable consoles.
Cosplay
Cosplay made a big splash at the event with Cosplayers coming out each day and putting their best step forward. Cosplay continues to grow rapidly and the quality of cosplay never stops to amaze me. The winner of the Auckland Cosplay Competition designed and built their costume from scratch. Cosplayers had the chance to show off their work at the Cosplay Parade on the Main Stage.
Guests
The guest line up this year was massive with special guests James & Oliver Phelps from Harry Potter, Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future, Karen Fukuhara from Suicide Squad and Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek. Even guests out of this world with NASA Astronaut, Rick Searfoss. All bringing huge crowds to their panels and some people getting the opportunity to ask questions to these guests. Some of the questions were interesting from the attendees including one to James & Oliver asking. “What kind of deodorant you guys use?” prefacing it by they “smelt very nice.”
